70 Years 70 Thank Yous

2023 will be TVS Pro’s 70th year in business! Our history is full of industry firsts, lots of recognition, and plenty of changes! It started out by Ken Bollinger fixing appliances in his garage and going out on house calls to fix TVS – while his wife Veloy, manned the phone lines, scheduling, and other duties as his secretary. The business was officially formed in 1953 as a service shop that primarily focused on fixing TVs. Over time, a building was bought and has been remodeled several times, departments have grown, changed and fluctuated, and our focus of business has changed. But two things that have remained, and will continue to remain, are one, that it is family owned and managed, and two, that our goal has been to improve your AV experience (in one way or another!).

This year will be a year of celebration!  To kick off the year 2023, in the first quarter we will be thanking at least 70 people and/or companies. Some may be employees, some may be people from the past who’ve helped build the Legacy, some may be individual customers, and some may be entire organizations and/or companies. Five people or companies, at minimum, will be thanked per week and will be thanked in various ways. Some will be mentioned on Social Media – so keep an eye out. You never know who may be thanked!

AV over IP or Traditional AV

AV Over IP vs Traditional AV: What makes the most sense?

Many have heard phrases such as digital transformation or convergence of AV and IT in the past few years. You might also be thinking, what does that actually mean? No matter which term you might be most familiar with, the sentiment is the same, that the AV industry is in the midst of a dramatic shift. Historically, there have been shifts of this size – such as the switch from analog to digital in media storage, over the air broadcast, telephone communication, and, of course, audio video signals…
